It's been a while since the last blog post, apologies I've been a bit busy! Back on the 26th of March I made my 4th appearance for England against Germany in Berlin, one of, if not the biggest game of my career so far. It's a night I will not forget and it will live long in the memory for multiple reasons.

The memory I enjoyed the least is the one that led to the end of the season and my chance to go to the Euros in France, being taken away from me. Shortly before half time I suffered an injury to my right ankle, with scans later revealing a fracture to the base of my Tibia.

I underwent surgery on the 29th to repair the fracture with 3 screws.

Thankfully the surgery was successful and the recovery is already progressing well. My cast has been removed and the stitches will follow soon. It might seem all doom and gloom but I'm extremely positive about the next couple of months. It's a challenge I've not yet faced, but I know I'll be back fitter and stronger very soon.

Thank you all for the messages of support, it really means a lot.
